👋 Hi, my name is Sean Falconer. I am Confluent's AI Entrepreneur in Residence. I work on AI strategy and thought leadership. I've held leadership positions across multiple functions; product, engineering, developer relations, and marketing. I competed in the ACM ICPC world programming finals twice, have written production code in over 10 languages, and designed and shipped products that have impacted millions. I thrive on solving problems and have had a versatile career. I can prove a theorem, tell a story in front of thousands, and write the product and marketing plan.I’ve worked on everything from web, Android and iOS, chatbots, and desktop apps, to applications of data mining, ML and information visualization. In my prior academic life, I published articles on a wide range of subjects including AI, quantum computing, semantic web, computational geometry, string topology, and bioinformatics. I also taught classes at university in Human Computer Interaction, algorithms, and data structures.
