- Modeled SAGD wells & reservoirs using CMG STARS- Analyzed the feasibility of using CMG STARS’ Flexwell in 3D forecasting & history matching simulations, looking at accuracy/comparability of results, numerical stability, ease of set-up, and runtime for various model set-ups - Provided an executive recommendation on the use & implementation of STARS’ Flexwell for future reservoir simulation work- Performed a variety of wellbore-specific case studies using STARS’ Flexwell to see possible effects on SAGD performance- Used STARS’ Flexwell to simulate the circulation phase of newly starting wells, analyzing SAGD conversion criteria & circulation optimization, as well as simulating real-life operational events such as pressure/fluid communication between wells & temperature fall-off tests

- Programmed/planned multiple horizontal wells from start to finish- Used engineering software to model casing stresses, wellbore hydraulics, and torque & drag forces for horizontal wells, ensuring that the wells can be drilled safely and efficiently- Worked on offset research, AFE cost estimates, & drilling curves- Used all gathered information, along with proposed directional, mud, cement, & bit plans from various service companies, to create drilling programs & stick diagrams for horizontal wells- Spent week on drilling rig, shadowing various drilling field personnel

- Assisted in operating a sour oil field consisting of multiple wells and surface facilities- Completed routine tasks such as checking wells, logging facility data sheets, testing wells, pipeline pigging, and doing daily book-keeping - Performed troubleshooting of pumpjacks, chemical pumps, and separators- Used various programs to monitor wells and facilities, such as Experion SCADA and XSPOC- Was responsible for a company truck, laptop, and phone
