Responsible for a Multi-Media sales team in the Austin Texas DMA. We help businesses navigate the fragmented media waters and deliver Digital, Interactive Video on Demand, and linear spot cable audience solutions. We also represent media sales for Time Warner Cable News, Austin's only 24 hour news network.

Peoria, Illinois Area

Automotive Sales Manager for the Central Illinois Region responsible for Directing Automotive Sales for Advanced Media (Xfinity.com, Video on Demand, Vehix.com etc.) and spot cable for Peoria, Bloomington, Champaign, Springfield, Decatur and Rockford.

Responsible for Classified Division print and online revenue attainment for Recruitment, Auto, Real Estate and Inside Sales departments. Division consisted of over 40 team members and 5 direct report managers. Primary responsibility was to quickly integrate new online classified verticals throughout the product lifecycle. This included vendor selection, defining product requirements, setting prices and collaborating with other departments to execute product launch and sales. Set annual revenue budgets, created comp plans and participated in union negotiations.

Effectively managed classified advertising department of 32 to meet or exceed department goals for classified, niche publications and online advertising. Areas of responsibilities included Real Estate, Automotive, Recruitment and Private Party. Set monthly revenue goals for sales team and developed sales strategies to ensure that goals are achieved. Effectively conducted sales training with staff including cold calling, closing skills, selling online products and up-selling. Provided in-field coaching with staff, as well as making presentations to key advertisers. Closely monitored advertising in Pensacola market, seeking out opportunities to increase market share in all classified categories.

Managed an automotive sales staff of 14 direct reports. Organized sales activities and generated new revenue by managing sales of a large portfolio of products that include the following: Print, Inserts, TMC, Direct-Mail, Internet, Magazines, Vendor Sections, Alternative Publications, Niche Products and Youth Oriented Products. Fostered team oriented philosophy and sales representative development. Originally began working for the Rocky Mountain News for the first few years and the Rocky and Denver Post later merged under a Joint Operating Agreement (JOA) and formed a new company called the Denver Newspaper Agency. The Rocky has since gone out of business and the JOA was dissolved and is currently operating as the Denver Post.
