Created CAD layouts, mechanical drawings, travel studies, brake packaging, BOM releases, test reports and change notifications.• Project lead on long travel trailing arm suspension (LTTA) for family of medium tactical vehicles (FMTV) military and aircraft rescue and firefighting (ARFF) trucks. • Created a 3-axis test rig for CNH CT-56 Patriot crop sprayer, +800lb single axle in-wheel suspension. Test rig utilized MTS hydraulic actuators, industrial I-beams, large heavy duty weldments to allow performance and validation testing of CT-56 verse incumbent suspension. • Direct support engineer for team responsible for the development and validation of the high-performance air system (HPAS). • Set up several pneumatic test set-ups for the 3:1 and 5:1 air amplifiers along with creating automated accelerated environmental HALT and HASS tests using PLC Programing, solenoid beings, digital pressure and temperature sensors. • Drafted all test reports documenting air amplifier test setup, procedures and results. • Wrote air amplifier specification document used for the development and sourcing of the 5:1 HPAS amplifier. • Retrofitted FIREMAAX kits with updated shocks package to eliminate field failures. • Active participant of the Hendrickson wellness team and CPR certified. • Specialized/recent technical skills gained: Siemens NX and Team Center, QAD, 8D Quality Report, PLC stamp programing. New IFS designs allowed for 4 additional motor fitments without need to modify OEM floor tunnel, which allows for shorter installation times. • Designed front drive accessory kit, aftermarket headers, which bolt on to 5.0L Ford Coyote motor. • Created new applications for IRS for 1st Gen Nova, and corrected pinion angle issues with existing 1st Gen Mustang IRS. • Designed new coil-over shock parts, and ballizing fixture to improve surface finish. Created BOM for single and double adjust twin tube shocks. • Specialized/recent technical skills gained: 3D scanning with Faro Edge used Geo-Magic Design-X Reverse engineering software, Syspro 6.0 BOM builds, Sigmanest DXF plasma files, Syspro BOM’s.
