Sean Nikkel is a Programmer at Sucker Punch Productions at Sucker Punch Productions. Colleagues describe him as "Sean is far and away one of the most talented, hard-working, and thoughtful individuals I have ever had the pleasure to study and work with. He has a thorough understanding of advanced programming techniques that can be applied across any skillset or computer science discipline, and is able to not only fluently exercise those skills, but also explain his thinking in a digestible manner, whether or not the receiver has little to no technical background. On our sophomore year game team at DigiPen Institute of Technology, Sean helped build the game from the ground up, and created many impressive systems that helped the team perform at a high level, and kept the workflow smooth and efficient. Sean also personally tutored me through one of my programming classes, and he was a fantastic tutor. As aforementioned, he has a great ability to make complex concepts/ideas digestible, and can easily facilitate the communication from the technical to the non-technical, no matter what form that takes. This, to me, shows a deep understanding of programming and programming logic. Finally, Sean has an earnest and ardent passion for video games, specifically graphics engines, and I would highly recommend him for any programming position on an indie team to a AAA project, as I have no doubt that he would meet and exceed any responsibilities placed upon him.
