After holding positions of VP of Cloud Services and Chief Architect, I have now graduated to the position of "Fellow", where I basically wander the vast fields of projects and attempt to help on anything that looks like it needs help, and dispense whatever topical wisdom my over-stuffed, mildly-organized, mind manages to find relevant :)

My role at Tenable oversees the operations, deployment, design, and architecture of the Tenable product suite in the cloud. I am also tasked with working with dev teams to make the products more cloud-friendly, as well as working with my teams to design the services and code the "glue" applications that manage the cloud services layers.

As Qualys grew, the need for a dedicated Architecture team became apparent. I volunteered to take on the role to lead the cross-application team that would be responsible for keeping as much cohesion in the Qualys product suit as possible. My duties from my Director position were not lost :) I remain actively coding and leading the Java web and service application platform, in addition to leading the company technical direction between various languages, applications, and products.

Originally hired on with my team in Denver to provide the next-generation Java-based platform for Qualys products. My team and I designed and implemented a new application stack, along with creating the vision for a new services fabric at Qualys. We originally delivered several products ourselves (SECURE Seal, Malware Detection, Asset Management), and then pioneered the (patent-pending) data organization approach known as "Dynamic Asset Tagging"

Responsible for architecture and development management for the compliance management solutions at Trustwave, who acquired ControlPath in August 2008.

ControlPath provides an integrated multi-platform compliance management application. The application can be client-installed or hosted in a SAS subscription model, and can help companies wrangle compliance with many different heterogenous standards and regulations. I was a consultant with ToolCASE initially and transitioned to the lead developer / architect on the TaskManager (web front-end) of the Informant product offered by ToolCASE. Informant is a central fraud monitoring and case management system offered by ToolCASE for banks, credit unions, and other financial institutions.
