Sean is proud to be the music teacher at The Brooklyn Charter School, a K-5 school with enrollment of approximately 225 students.

Recent performance highlights include:• American Symphony Orchestra at Carnegie Hall, in October 2013: Edgard Varèse's groundbreaking symphonic work, Ameriques. • Performed with famed marimba solist Keiko Abe and her Japanese marimba ensemble during their visit to America in early 2013 and early 2012.• Black Arm Band (music of the Australian indigenous experience) USA debut tour, in early 2013• Lies My Father Told Me off Broadway - Baruch Performing Arts Center - November-December 2012• BroadHollow Theatre Company - featured actor in productions of The Producers and 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee - 2010-2012Sean's passion for percussion is eclectic. As a drum set player for most of his young life, he has performed as a pit musician in many Long Island theater musicals, toured with his own projects, and is currently doing studio work with musicians in the local NYC area. Drum set playing has also led him to performance opportunities such as sharing the stage with jazz vibraphonist Joe Locke.

Sean is an assistant to the American percussion quartet So Percussion, based in New York City.Composed of Josh Quillen, Adam Sliwinski, Jason Treuting, and Eric Beach, the group is well known for recording and touring internationally and for its work with composers such as Steve Reich, David Lang, Paul Lansky, Martin Bresnick, Steven Mackey, Fred Frith, Dan Trueman, Tristan Perich, Oscar Bettison, Evan Ziporyn, and Arvo Pärt.

Sean received a bachelor’s degree in Music Education from SUNY Fredonia where he studied under Dr. Karolyn Stonefelt, Tiffany Nicely.

African Drumming

• Traveled to Africa to study West African music in Ghana at the Dagara Music Center under the direction of world-renowned hand drummer.
