I was responsible for managing the Student Experience Directorate responsible for the student journey from potential student through to successfully achieving within the College and then progression to Higher Education or Employment. This role developed into Director of Commercial and Operations with responsibility for additional areas including Facilities & Estates, Health & Safety and Exams.The Directorate is comprised of different teams all responsible for different parts of the student journey and these are: Marketing, Student Advice, Administration, Contact Centre, Enrichment, Residential, Independent Learning Support, IT, Commercial, Exams and the Learning Resource Centre's.Key highlights:Implemented the Contact Centre which took responsibility for external stakeholder communication. Missed lost calls reduced from on average 30% to less that 5% per month. Successfully managed the College annual enrolment since 2015 which in 2019 enrolled more students in the five days then ever beforeManaged the PR and communications for the capital project leading to successfully achieving approval for the new development and investment into the CollegeDesigned and implemented the community strategy which every year sees over 40,000 members of the local community engage with the College events. Main events such as Lambing Weekend, Food Festival and Summer Fair.

Oaklands College is one of the largest FE College's in the UK with 3 campuses in Hertfordshire and supports over 10,000 students every year. We offer over 200 full time courses and hundreds of part time and community learning courses. .I manage the teams responsible for marketing, communications and all of the front end services including the contact centre and advice teams. No two days are ever the same!

Conical is a professional services marketing agency that specialises in marketing outsource, design and consultancy.While at Conical I provided flexible marketing support ranging from strategy formulation and brand evolution, through to marketing plan implementation.Skills and experience include:• Branding • Web site project management • Public Relations management• Key Account management and planning• Marketing communications• Customer and market research• Re-branding and new business launches• Direct marketing campaign design and implementation• Compilation and implementation of formal strategic marketing plans• Client care and customer perception exercises

Responsible for seven local newspapers and both over 30 field and telephone sales executives covering North West London and Hertfordshire.Key responsibilities included: the total delivery of Advertising Revenues across the titles & achievement of all on-line budgets. Newsquest North West London has a portfolio of seven leading weekly titles & six successful on-line newspaper sites. Other responsibilities include the management of supplement & niche products produced by the centre. Key strategic responsibilities included managing the profit margins of each titles and accurately forecasting future revenues to help shape the business planning cycle. This period saw the migration from print to online and I was responsible for introducing digital media sales executives into the growing internet space. Local newspaper websites continued in this period to grow making the management of print revenues and profit increasingly challenging. Using commercial acumen we were able to secure revenues from clients across both platforms and continue to achieve targets.
