As a senior ski patrol at Grouse Mountain I assisted in providing top-notch medical care to the sick and injured. As a ski patroller I have successfully carried out or led operational teams carrying out high and low angle rope rescues, wind turbine and elevator rescue, zip line rescues avalanche rescues and multi-system trauma emergencies in difficult terrain. In my role I provided mentorship and training to other ski patrollers including mountain operations, equipment training, and medical training and oversight. Lead and promoted accident reduction through skier education and maintenance of mountain safety and rescue equipment.

North Vancouver

As the Health and Safety Coordinator I designed, coordinated, and taught health and safety programs that meet or exceed all OHS regulations, standards and codes to Grouse Mountain staff. Conducted and assisted with Health & Safety audits and facility Hazard Identification & Risk Analysis to insure full preparedness and compliance with applicable plans, regulations and legislation with in British Columbia. A part of my role at Grouse Mountain involved investigating a variety of incidents to, analyze root causes, lead the Joint Health & Safety Committee (JHSC), and recommend corrective actions and ensure follow-up that assisted in ensuring a safe workplace for staff that exceeded the standards set out by Work Safe BC regulations.

As the Medical Operations Director for the Intrepid Stage Ride, my role includes development of emergency response plans, recruitment of medical staff, operational planning and deployment, and communication planning, etc.

Ensuring a detailed framework within each plan that identified the role of the event, coordinating emergency services, and stakeholders before, during, and after a disaster, medical emergency, operational emergency, or large-scale emergency. The role included working with local, provincial, state, and international stakeholders to ensure the safety and security of spectators, athletes, volunteers, and staff members. Successfully developed and lead Event Operation Centers with similar elements of provincial and local emergency management procedures.

My role working as a Ski Instructor at Whistler Blackcomb included teaching vacationers how to ski at an advanced and expert level. Primarily working as a private instructor I was able to teach individuals mountain safety, mountain awareness, backcountry skiing, and ski racing. Customer service and giving the student the best experience was a top priority for me.
