As a Transition Service Officer, I provide excellent customer service to military personnel beginning the process of separating from the military. As an adviser, I conduct informational briefings for large numbers of military personnel. Within those briefings, I explain the benefits and the rights that they are awarded for serving in the military and the processes in which to file claims for service-connected disabilities and how to submit the proper paperwork with the Veteran's Administration. I review medical records and conduct interviews with up to 6 service member's a day for the purpose of optimizing the chances that they are awarded service connected-disabilities for current, chronic conditions. The service member separating from the military is then guaranteed an accurate disability claim with the most potential for a positive outcome. I conduct follow-up phone calls, interviews, and further advise service members and veterans in their dealings with the Veteran's Administration and its policies.

Certified FTO (Field Training Officer), developed lesson plans and material for training of department personnel; ASHI (American Safety and Health Institute) certified, First aid, CPR and AED trained; Transport officer; ERT (Emergency Response Team) member; Pistol, TASER, Forced cell, OC (Oleoresin Capsicum), and PPCT (Pressure Point Control Tactics) certified.Provide safety and security to the people of Colorado through physical security of a Level IV (Close-Custody) facility. Familiar with department regulations; Abiding and enforcing policy in accordance with state and federal laws and guidelines.Tasked with the accountability of personnel, equipment, and behavior monitoring of offenders. Provide excellent customer service; Utilized advanced communication skills to enable safe cooperation and compliance by personnel.Utilization of Microsoft Office and department specific programs in daily operations.

Greater Denver Area

Acting as a Quick Reactionary Force (QRF) in the event of any state emergencies. During such times, I offer security, reassurance, and provide stability to the citizens of the United States and Colorado. Other duties are vertical construction, demolition, and reparation of a multitude of construction variations to support other units in the military and/or civilians in any capacity. Participated in reparation operations on Highway 36 from Lyons to Estes Park after 2013 floods.

Custodial care entailed trash collection and mitigation, cleaning and restocking of restrooms.

I was directly responsible for over $4 million worth of equipment and 8 personnel, kept in immaculate condition and maintained to the proper standards put forth by regulation and my supervisors. I was in direct leadership and management of 8 personnel. I was responsible for mentoring new subordinates by training them to exceed the standard in a multitude of skills applicable to the positions each individual held as well as that of their peers. All subordinates returned uninjured from three combat infantry tours overseas. I held numerous positions during my time in active service, the last being the equivalency of a supervisor and then manager. In those years, I served three tours overseas. I attended 5 leadership training events, gained extensive knowledge with typing, logging, and keeping a clean and organized platform. Worked well with subordinates, peers, and superiors with extreme diversity of backgrounds and statuses of life.
