As a Special Events Manager at the Baton Rouge Zoo Foundation, I manage and execute various events that support and advance the zoo's goals of animal wellbeing, conservation, community engagement, and education. I have over two years of experience in this role, and I am passionate about creating memorable and meaningful experiences for the zoo's visitors, donors, and partners.Before joining the BRZ Foundation, I worked as a Catering and Events Manager at Walk-On's Sports Bistreaux, where I planned and coordinated catering services for private and corporate clients, as well as special events such as fundraisers, parties, and promotions. I also started as a Server Captain and Bartender at Walk-On's, where I honed my skills in hospitality service, customer satisfaction, and team leadership. I have a Bachelor of Science in Hospitality and Tourism Management from the Isenberg School of Management, UMass Amherst, and an Associate of Science in Hospitality Administration/Management from Quinsigamond Community College.
