Engineering and construction has always been a passion beyond my work, which focuses on Construction Management including residential and infrastructure projects. In the period 2016-2018, I have worked in Saudi Arabia, managing the construction of a major project involving housing and infrastructure for the Kingdom’s security sector. This was a demanding multi-site project, collaborating with the Project Manager and a large multi-country workforce.While technical excellence is core to my role, the importance of being able to utilise those skills in roles that require project and people management are just as essential in my field. Throughout my career I have worked on a diverse range of projects in multi-cultural environments.Projects I have designed and/or supervised in my career include:Ø Residential and commercial buildings in a variety of materials.Ø Reinforced buildings post earthquake events.Ø Public works: paved roads, water systems, drainage and sewer networks, squares, gardening, irrigation system and lighting.As someone who has always pushed himself to achieve and done so in competitive environments from school onwards, I’m able to handle the diverse, competing demands of working on large scale projects. I love the journey of learning and solving problems whether it’s academic or practical so as a hobby, I solve mathematical problems on brilliant.org.
