- Worked as an intern for NSA-SoS (Science of Security) at Information Trust Institute, University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. - Project was aimed to provide and highlight the best practices against ransomware. Identified and analyzed reports from 49 organizations including governments, Infosecurity companies, online researchers and news media. - Assessed all the technical and organizational recommendations including the pre-attack and post attack strategies. Also, worked on the sector-wise recommendations since each sector recommended different practices. - Presented my work to NSA officials and a large group of computer science professors during a poster session.- Performed a static and dynamic analysis of 8 ransomware families to detect if it is security incident or data breach. Assessed HIPPA and GDPR to know more about privacy issues related to ransomware
