Seema has a keen interest in academia and consulting, She is currently a Research Fellow in the area of OB & HR with a deep interest in Diversity and Inclusion (D&I). She wishes to influence practices at the ground level and create better societies and workplaces at large. With prior experience in the area of OD & Total rewards, and current focus on D&I, it will only make the future work more interesting, challenging and worthwhile for her.

Seema had an interest in academia, and was fortunate to be part of the first ever full time program for returning women professionals in India at SPJIMR. The program called PGMPW was launched in Sept 2016 in the Mumbai Bhavan's campus. As a part of the inception team, together with the Head of the Program, she was responsible for recruitment of the other team members.Program planning with stiff deadlines along with speed and accuracy of the program implementation was a challenge, as well as the most interesting part. She was involved and responsible for development of the academic program with subject specialization charted out. There were courses in the area of HRM which were floated for the first time and she was completely responsible for them. Played a key role in designing and implementation of processes and documents for admissions.The program is meant for returning women professionals and hence the focus of research was around gender diversity. Thus, along with the program, she was also part of the core team for a program for prospective women leaders from a large Indian MNC. The program duration was for 18 months and she witnessed the uniqueness in design, the organisation commitment and the positive shift that the program created for the women participants in 18 months. This was one of the best experiences she had in her 2 year tenure at SPJIMR.In addition, she was also the program incharge for AACSB accreditation while working there.Overall, an extremely rich learning experience which motivated her further to pursue my doctoral course.

Visiting faculty in HRM & OB area

In addition to my responsibilities of compensation and total rewards, I was given additional responsibility of handling the performance management also at Atos India.Stronger communication and stricter timelines for implementation of the performance management process each semester. Pre definition of bell curves based on past performance and future plans of the company.

Lead for compensation and total rewards for pan India. Started with an employee strength of 3500 which eventually grew to 8000.Annual compensation strategy, salary survey and benchmarking, leadership bonus, performance linked variable pay programs, incentive programs and process improvement in the area of compensation and total rewards.Lead the compensation area as part of core team for successful PCMM level 5 certification.Taking care of employee policies in alignment with business need.Successfully integrated salary and salary structures for the merger of Atos Origin India and Siemens IT India in July 2012.Core team member of all policy merger, communication and implementation of the same.

As part of the L&D - OD team I was responsible for all the non technical trainings. Was the core team member of the PCMM 3 certification initiative and took care of areas of communication, work environment and training.Responsible for other strategic initiatives for middle management and senior management leaders of the organization - Assessment centers and "Build the Future Program" to name a few.I also developed and designed few in house programs and short modules.Certified trainer in Atos Origin.

As part of the talent acquisition team I was responsible for hiring in the area of ERP like Siebel and SAP. I was also responsible for development of recruitment dashboards for regular reporting purpose. Taking care of requirement related policies and processes were also part of the role for continuous improvement.
