She is a founding member of the College of General Dentistry and was instrumental in developing the Trailfinders Dental Practice Management Apprenticeship curriculum, and the Undergraduate Leadership and Management programme at Kings Dental Institute. She works closely with healthcare leaders to maintain their focus on growth and development in an increasingly regulatory environment. In 2019 Seema joined the Board of the Goddard Veterinary Group as a Non-Executive Director where she served for 3 years as the organisation went through a process of transformational change and was eventually acquired by Vet Partners.An active participant in the third sector, Seema founded the Child Action charity to support 3 grassroots charities working in India - Doorstep School, Toybank and Apnalaya. Together with the British Asian Trust, one of the Prince’s Charities, Child Action developed Enterprise4Change, a flagship UK education project to introduce philanthropy to younger generations. Seema is passionate about championing women and young people and routinely participates in empowerment activities to support leadership, innovation and entrepreneurship in a diverse range of settings. She is a founding member of Roedean Rocks for Roedean School Alumnae and has won several professional accolades and awards, including being featured as one of the “Top 50” influential people in Dentistry. Seema is also a judge at the annual Global Good Awards.Seema lives in Southeast London with her husband, Sanjay Sharma and two daughters.
