Selena Lopez was born and raised in Los Angeles, CA to a family of immigrants from Oaxaca, Mexico. Motivated by her own lived experience, her academic pursuits were driven by a desire to bridge the gap between healthcare and social equity.Since graduating, she has carried this passion for healthcare to Kaiser Permanente, where she currently serves as a Senior Consultant to support region-wide projects and initiatives. Most notably, she has supported efforts involving COVID-19 vaccine and testing deployment, workforce strategy planning, patient care transformation, and primary care operations. As she continues to evolve both personally and professionally, Selena remains empowered and steadfast in her mission to uplift others and the community.Outside of Kaiser Permanente, Selena actively leads and volunteers in organizations such as the Association of Latino Professionals of America - Los Angeles, Riordan Programs, and Management Leaders for Tomorrow (MLT). This work allows her to continue "paying it forward" to increase Latino representation and build the next generation of diverse leaders.
