About Selena Watkins

I’m empowering diverse women and communities as the Founder of Socanomics. As a first-generation Antiguan-American raised in NY, I am proud of my heritage & upbringing. I’ve worked in fitness for the past 17 years, teaching many modalities from cycling, to strength, to dance fitness, to yoga. My diverse career began as a professional dancer with many amazing highlights that have taken me around the world. I've also held the titles of Miss Black USA 2012 & Women’s Health Magazine’s Next Fitness Star 2016. Incredible experiences that have shaped me greatly. As a Founder, I am dedicated to infusing culture and authenticity into my work across diverse fields. I am interested in how my work and experience can transcend to shape other brands.
