- Primarily responsible for leading a team of 3 engineers and providing web applications, automation tools and business intelligence solutions to Expedia's Global Supply and Content Operations.- Responsible for the success of an internal Digital Asset Management (DAM) system built from scratch that was tailored to the needs of business. This allowed the relinquishing of a re-occurring annual cost from a previous 3rd party solution. Technologies used: Ruby on Rails, Amazon Web Services, IaaS Provider, MySQL.- Managed the logistics for implementing new image derivatives across all 3 Million+ Hotel Images to be utilized on Expedia.com and our points of sale.

- Led a team of 3 developers and provided technical solutions to solve for needs ranging from localization automation to the actual localization of our supplier facing web applications into 30+ languages.- Built an automation application that was integral in the processing of English content to localized content which was then imported back into the system and replicated to the different points of sell. Processed 6,000 files and saved 40 man hours per month.- Responsible for the design/coding/deployment of 2 content moderator web applications built in Ruby on Rails. These applications helped allow Expedia to significantly accelerate the amount of quality content we could take into our system; magnitudes beyond previous process.- Implemented the localization of a supplier facing application that was written using Ruby on Rails into 30+ different languages.

- Responsible for providing technical solutions for the Global Supply Operations division of Expedia.- Spearheaded the development of a new internal media processing workflow application written in C# for lodging and car products. I took responsibility as business owner, project manager, architect and developer. The new system that I built from scratch allowed the following:+ Reduction of 1/3 of the Hardware of the previous system (70K)+ Elimination of the previous 3rd Party system which had been used for 6 years prior and incurred re-occurring annual costs to operate.+ Increased image processing throughput by a factor of 25x and accelerated media to live time from once a day to every few hours.+ Eliminated 10-20 hours a week of administration required in previous 3rd party solution.- Designed/Coded/Implemented an automation application that took hotel room amenities and based on business logic generated a paragraph published to Expedia.com containing the amenities of desire.+ Was estimated to give the content team a power multiplier of approximately 7,500 man hours annually which would otherwise have been done manually.

- I was an integral part in designing/coding/implementing a system which as our Sr. Director of Product Marketing/Merchandising put it: "You've reinvented the way we do promotions at Expedia".+ The system allowed for Expedia to launch it's largest sales promotion in it's history while making the deal data more accurate, updated more frequently and gave the marketing team a power multiplier of 2,300 man hours across 6 promotions that were ran while I was on the team over a period of a year.+ Implemented the Agile Methodology of SCRUM for this project. I pioneered using agile on the team and allowed for us to adjust magnitudes better to shifting business need as we constantly hit tight deadlines which required huge cross team collaboration promotions to go live on Expedia.com

- Responsible for building the data components of Expedia's cruise ship business. I data modeled all of the pieces required to import into our system which would allow new cruise ships to sale on Expedia.com. I consistently ensured that Expedia released new cruise products prior to our top 3 competitors allowing for us to capture additional revenue due to our early release for sale.- Co-engineered an automation application that allowed cruise rate options to be processed more efficiently, accurately and go live much quicker. This resulted in a power multiplier for the team of 520 person hours per year.- Developed an application that allowed the Geography team to more effectively identify Lat/Long polygon regions for points of interest. In use from 2005 to present (2012) and was estimated to give the team a power multiplier of 29,000 person hours per year.
