Project Spotlight: FlexCAR - Building Trust in Self-Driving Technology I had the privilege of contributing to the innovative FlexCAR project, a collaborative initiative with Mercedes-Benz, aimed at shaping the future of autonomous driving through innovative human-car interface solutions. The project was dedicated to creating a cyber-physical vehicle platform equipped with open hardware and software interfaces to enable vehicles that evolve over their lifetime.🔹 Project Objective: Develop self-reflective, self-describing, and service-oriented components that allow vehicles to be updated, upgraded, and reconfigured automatically—enhancing both the software and hardware to achieve a new level of adaptability and safety.🔹 My Role:Pioneered and developed two patent-worthy applications focusing on human-car interfaces to foster trust and transparency between users and self-driving vehicles.Contributed to the design and prototyping of innovative interaction systems to bridge the gap between human intuition and autonomous decision-making.Played a key role in addressing the challenges of open interface integration, enabling seamless interaction within an evolving vehicle ecosystem.💡 Outcome: Through this project, we showcased the feasibility of a scalable, adaptable vehicle model that redefines how cars of the future will be conceptualized, developed, and experienced.
