Working in the pharma industry for the past 25 years has helped me understand the great need for skills to bridge the gap between clinicians and their data. Presenting the data in a suitable format helps clinicians to make quicker decisions and save patient lives. I have been a solution provider for many of the complex issues that come up during our system implementations or the day-to-day running of our business. I have made co-workers' lives easier by finding innovative ways to reach the endpoints. This led me to build an analytics solution for performing disproportionality analysis on drug-adverse events on FAERS data, DiscoverAE.I believe human development will still lead to further AI and other technological innovations. We must adopt them cautiously to improve our offerings to our customers. One of the books that changed my thought process is To Err is Human: Building a Safer Health System by the Institute of Medicine. This book changed my perspective on looking at every problem or requirement to build solutions that improve the business process and lessen human errors.
