I produced a report to improve Birmingham’s food provision asset map by volunteering at TAWS community cafés to gather observations and service provider/user insight. I also researched key policies and public campaigns promoting physical activity in Jamaican populations to inform targeted public health messaging and presented this analysis in a poster.

I lead and assisted in pulmonary rehabilitation group exercise classes, accommodating to range of respiratory conditions and patient abilities. For my service development project, I audited patients’ learning need scores and redesigned the education booklet using patient feedback.

I prioritised and managed a caseload of children on treatment for cancer, stem cell transplant and liver disease for 6 weeks. I had to draw on a range of MSK, CR and neurological assessment skills & treatments.

I assessed and treated antenatal and postnatal women for pregnancy related MSK pain, and patients pre & post- cesarian & gynaecological surgery for 4 weeks. Observed consultations for incontinence, FES of the pelvic floor and PEME. I presented the latest evidence for exercise during pregnancy to the team.

In an in-patient rehabilitation setting for 6 weeks, I worked in an MDT helping patients achieve their goals.

In the MSK outpatients department for 6 weeks, I assessed and treated patients via e-consultation and shadowed a pain management and podiatry service.
