Ensure that all locations are in compliance. Responsible for making sure that any gaps in performance or quality are quickly identified and addressed. Analyze and evaluate raw material availability, delivery performance, quality and inventory goals and work closely with suppliers in negotiating and resolving schedules, inventory levels, shortages and other material issues. Anticipates, identifies, resolves, and recommends solutions to material shortages and delivery problems. Communicates quickly and effectively with managers and supervisors regarding potential production delays. Coordinate with accounts payable to ensure timely payment of materials purchased/delivered. Evaluate/manage supplier base to ensure that correct and optimal prices are paid for parts/materials, establishing new sources when appropriate to improve cost and /or delivery. Work closely with expeditors as a liaison for verification of pricing and delivery terms.
