I had chance to take an extensive role in the establishment of “Structured Finance” department, mostly responsible for generating Ship Finance and Islamic Finance assets.I believe that GarantiBank International N.V. brought to Turkish ship finance community, not only its lending capabilities but also new quality standards at European level. The same applies to Islamic finance field in which we managed to create a significant size of assets in the form of Murabaha facilities.

At the very early stage of my career, I had chance to get a solid background in managing all different types of risk and learnt how to propose and implement effective and applicable solutions in hard times under pressure. Handling senior level relations is another key issue for auditors so that communication and presentations skills are essential success criteria.I sincerely and strongly recommend Audit Departments for new graduates who would like to gain an overall understanding of banking in the fastest possible way.
