I am a multidisciplinary product designer based in Portland, OR with a background in visual design, experience design, and research. My work history spans multiple industries, primarily hospitality, healthcare, and now sports apparel. I prioritize a human-first mindset, and approach my work with an inclusive and trauma-informed lens.My time in hospitality taught me how to leverage people’s natural tendencies to my advantage, something I incorporate into my work today. I spent many of those years curating the diner experience as a waitress as well as designing brand stories and personalities for various restaurants.Working in health insurance showed me how flawed and anti-human our current system is, and sparked my exploration into inclusive and trauma-informed design. These will always be growing and changing skillsets for me, and I incorporate them in everything I do.For the past two years, I have been working as a digital innovation product designer for a large sports apparel retailer based in Beaverton, OR. I lead my work with a “design for one, extend to many” mindset, because the foundation of innovation is inclusion.Overall, I value human-first initiatives and projects that allow me to utilize design thinking and my own research to inform the end result. If this sounds interesting to you, don’t hesitate to drop a line.—Specializations: Human-centered design, inclusive + trauma-informed strategy, product + user research, requirements gathering, product feature definition, service design blueprinting, digital prototyping, stakeholder socialization + buy-in, AI + design ethicsIndustries: Hospitality, Healthcare, Retail, Sports Apparel
