Our team is building a Next Gen Firewall, and I'm responsible for testing it a well as providing some analysis. More precisely: - Manual testing of the product;- Cooperation with the development team for bug fixes/nex functionality;- Automation of the test cases;- Some Solution architect tasks: find out how the feature is supposed to be working; look at other vendors for comparison; document the findings, share them with the team;- Maintaining the test lab (networking equipment, ESXI hosts, Linux/Windows endpoints.

QA teamlead for several projects (DC/SP/Enterprise switches and routers). My responsibilities combined several positions in one: QA teamlead, project manager, product manager, analyst. Namely:- Project administration in Jira for all our telecom projects (managing the priorities and workflows, roles, permissions);- Participating in defining the road-map for the features and the overall network architecture of our products;- Parsing standards, RFCs, vendor documentation;- Collaborating with the dev team to figure out the best way to develop a feature;- Collaborating with the pre-sale team to fix the issues the potential customers find ASAP- Creating high-level test-plans;- Participating in the functional testing when the team needs extra hands;- Responsible for the lab equipment (traffic generators, reference devices, etc);- Communicating our needs to the contractors and partners.

My area of responsibility regarding those products is:- Performing QA tests on Bulat switches and routers (functional, performance testing);- Designing new features and improving the existing ones;- Making sure the devices work in accordance with the RFCs and IEEE standarts as well as with the network theory and basic logic.- Collaborating with the dev team to find the right requirements for a feature.
