Duties at the position were the following:- server deployment, i.e. assisting DC staff with bringing a device to requested hardware spec, installing OS/virtualization environment, including RAID set up-> network configuration/troubleshooting -> configuring defined set of software(cPanel, Plesk, Centos web panel; SMTP(Exim, Postfix), MySQL, HTTP(Apache, Nginx), POP3/IMAP, caching (Redis, memcached), custom services including interaction with remote Mail realy, CDN) -> configuring firewall (iptables chains, firewalld, csf, lfd, imunify360, fail2ban, modsec rules) -> configuring domain nameservers along with DNS records management -> backup solutions realization(R1Soft, Acronis CLoud backup) -> basic development issues troubleshooting and malware scanning(maldet, clamscan)- resolve technical issues via live chat session/phone/support ticket (implementation of flexible customer tailored solutions)- server monitoring responsibilities (react on alerts/incidents on a timely manner; detecting/blocking DDoS attacks upon co-working with DC staff and on a server itself by means of analyzing inbound network traffic; tracking/blocking suspicious activity and fixing security issues)- writing handy-dandy bash troubleshooting scripts- learning basics of DevOps methodology, tools: Docker, Ansible, Git, Puppet, Jenkins- learning basics of cloud services: AWS
