Sergio's background includes starting operations of global companies in Latin America, such as Analog Devices (ADI), which he ran for 15 years as the Country Manager in Brazil and later in all South America. Then he started MediaTek's operations in South America, stimulating local brands to launch mobile phones and tablets, while supporting global accounts, developing relationship with telcos and government authorities, besides holding press interviews, industry events and diversified sales & marketing activities. Later Sergio did consulting services for EcoNet, a wholly-owned MediaTek's subsidiary, developing xDSL and GPON opportunities throughout Latin America (including Mexico). Sergio recently brought to Brazil the sino-american company Anywave Communication Technologies, who develop broadcast equipment, such as TV transmitters and helps HFS, a Chinese company that do passive RF components for mobile, trunking radio and broadcast industries. Lately Sergio has brought into Brazil two companies that are focused into the ISP market. SDMC makes broadband products such as Wi-Fi 6 and Wi-Fi 5 routers and ONUs, while FTTX Tech makes Termination boxes for Optical networks.Sergio constantly looks for synergetic product lines, which he could add value to, complementing his product portfolio, either in the telecom, broadcast, semiconductor or IT markets.Beyond that, Sergio consults for foreign and Brazilian companies to obtain the ANATEL and INMETRO certifications, bridging the certification body with the original manufacturers. In order to accomplish with such diversified customers, Sergio has accumulated a strong technical background. He holds a BSEE, having worked as a system design activities for many years. He is passionate for technology and a permanent student.
