Sergio Marques is an accomplished investment banker with a track-record of leading complex transactions and building and scaling a large emerging growth business in the financial services sector. Prior to taking a sabbatical, during which time he advised an investment banking boutique and a decentralized finance startup, he served most recently as Global Head of Sales and Fundraising, at Investec Investment Banking & Securities, based in London. At Investec, he is credited with building an institutional sales, syndications, and fundraising business unit to over $7 billion in annual asset sales and $6 billion in funds and partnerships, from a zero base. Prior to Investec, he worked in structured credit sales at Hoare Capital Markets, Bank of America, and Deutsche Bank.
