Sergio David Suarez is a Mexican entrepreneur and philanthropist, who migrated to the United States as a teenager.He is an accomplished small business owner, with various companies in the food and beverage, services, media and communication, and technology industries. Sergio is founder and co-founder of multiple nonprofit organizations located here, and in Mexico. He also serves on the board of many nonprofits, which share his goals of promoting civic responsibility, social development, and improving communities in the United States and Mexico.Sergio has used his experience with business success to support his philanthropic endeavors, creating an area in Casa Jalisco, in Melrose Park, Illinois, where he mentors aspiring business owners, especially those that came from Mexico and are now living in the United States. In turn, he is helping the community increase their markets, assisting immigrants, and creating more businesses and jobs.While searching for a strong civil society in both Mexico and the United States, he has held positions as President of FEDEJAL, (Federation of Jalisco in the Midwest United States), CONFEDEJAL (National Council of Federations of Jalisco in the U.S.), Necahual Foundation, Necahual México AC, Juanacatlán Renace, and most recently, founded NAIMA, the North American Institute for Mexican Advancement. He serves on the board of ICIRR (Illinois Coalition of Immigrants and Refugee Rights) board, the Illinois Welcoming Center, Jaliscienses en el Exterior de la Gran Alianza, Latin Affairs Council of Melrose Park, and is an advisor of Casa Jalisco in the Midwest and Club Pro-Obras Juanacatlán.Currently, Sergio is President of soccer and basketball leagues for children, remains on the boards mentioned, and is cultivating more partnerships to promote social and civic responsibility.
