With over a decade of industrial engineering experience, I am a seasoned manager and leader at UPS, where I lead a team of multiple engineers across midwestern US states. My core competencies include streamlining operational logistics, reducing operational costs, and solving complex problems with innovative solutions. I have successfully converted multiple projects into multi-million dollar ROI opportunities for the company, leveraging my expertise in engineering processes, technological enhancements, and lean project management.Beyond my engineering responsibilities, I am passionate about diversity, equity, and inclusion, and I actively contribute to the company and the community through various initiatives. I am currently the co-chair of Crecer, UPS' first Hispanic/Latino business resource group, which has won numerous awards for its pioneering leadership and events. I also serve on the board of the Summer of a Lifetime, an organization that aims to send over 1,000 high school sophomores, mostly from minority and low-resourced backgrounds, to college campuses across the US every summer. These early college experiences help increase the rates of post-secondary matriculation and graduation, and ultimately lead to life-changing careers.
