I started out as an intern at a hybrid cybersecurity and managed IT organization. My mom helped me get the interview from a friend while I was still in college. I didn't know anything about tech then, other than an introduction to computer science course I was taking. I used to work so much that my boss at the time would get onto me because interns were supposed to be only part-time. Now, I am a senior Linux Engineer, one of the most technically demanding positions in the organization. I help buck the stereotype of highly technical individuals who cannot interact with anyone but fellow nerds. I hold a degree in communications from the University of Oklahoma (Boomer Sooner), and I have seven years of experience in enterprise IT environments, five of which were spent exclusively on Linux Engineering. I've worked in some of the most demanding technical environments in the financial industry. Where downtime in production doesn't just mean unhappy users but an immediate financial loss as the market chugs along. I understand pressure and performance and perhaps most of all, attention to detail. I want to bring exceptional problem-solving and technical ability to IT environments to help companies achieve their goals.
