I play the organ (or piano) for morning and evening Sunday (and other occasional) services, and I accompany orchestra and choir rehearsals. I started as Interim Organist in May of 2009, and began as Organist in September.

This is my DBA for freelanced work; it had been Nelson Musical Arts since 1997 before this. Primarily, this includes providing piano accompaniment for local high schools; and also playing for other professional singers or instrumentalists for their recitals, competitions, recordings; also private teaching; also giving solo recitals on the piano or pipe organ.

I collaborated weekly with the voice students of Bob Giles, Chia-wei Lee, Linda McNeil, Jacquelyn Matava, Mark Covey, and Lydia Beasley. I played for their recitals, master classes, final juries, operas, and the annual Rosalind Phillips Voice Competition. I also occasionally play for new student voice auditions, the Trinity Choirs, and musicals, and instrumental juries.

I played the piano or organ for worship services, and for choir rehearsals. I served as interim from March through June of 2008, and I subbed for several weeks before and after that.

I started playing the piano in the mid '90s, then became the Music Director and Organist in 1999. I helped plan worship services, taught some classes, wrote for the newsletter, helped direct the choir with Becky Riddle Nelson, and accompanied the services and rehearsals.
