Recent initiatives include:• Established the Forbes Impact Lab, a global platform focused on leveraging content, live experiences and community-building efforts to inspire the next wave of entrepreneurial solutions to complex local, national and global challenges.• Worked with editorial and community-building team members to launch ForbesBLK, a fast-growing global community of Black entrepreneurs, professionals, leaders, and creators that are driving systematic change in business, culture, and society. Developed ForbesBLK initiatives including the first ever ForbesBLK Summit in Atlanta in 2023, a new impact-focused initiative called GiveBLK, and new partnerships around media, content and culture that provide direct access to Black founders and creators.• Partnered with leading foundations to create sponsored content strategies around campaigns related to alternative post-secondary education opportunities, inclusive workforces, entrepreneurial ecosystems, regional development initiatives, sustainability projects and faith-driven businesses.• Partnered with Forbes sales and marketing leadership to cultivate and secure relationships with global brands and agencies focused on demonstrating positive brand impact.• Partnered with editorial leadership of Forbes content and community franchises such as Forbes Under 30, Forbes Women and Forbes CxO networks to help create new platforms and experiences to expand the reach of Forbes to inclusive audiences around the world.• Developed cross-organizational teams focused on ideating, launching, and scaling new impact focused initiatives that enhance the global Forbes brand.

Applied Optimism is a business and organizational advisory firm offering strategic solutions support via design thinking, storytelling, innovation, and community building.I made the decision to launch after working as Senior Director at the Charles and Lynn Schusterman Family Foundation and gaining a first-hand look at the transformational strides made possible by empowering people to problem solve in a more holistic way.Currently, Applied Optimism collaborates with executives, grantmakers, nonprofits, and community leaders around the world with the goal of applying creative solutions to organizational, social and individual challenges. Clients include global media and hospitality companies, some of the largest social enterprises and grantmaking foundations, as well as emerging startups and nonprofits.As Founder and President, I recruited and now guide an amazingly talented team of business advisors, collaborators, and allies with expertise in a diversity of disciplines and industries to pool their talent and drive results-oriented change.

I was recruited away from my career in law to take on an executive role shaping global efforts to identify, connect, and support young adults around the world. My role involved program strategy and program development and included building and leading a team spanning Atlanta, Jerusalem, Tel Aviv, Washington D.C., and California. As part of my work, I helped establish REALITY Israel as a leading travel experience for global leaders and changemakers. By the time I left the Schusterman Foundation, the REALITY program had ignited a vibrant network of 2.5K influential millennials and provided the shared experience foundational in maintaining alum currently active in major US and European cities.Some other highlights include:► Ideated, pitched, and rallied teams and partners to execute first-ever Forbes Under 30 Summit in Israel.► Mobilized thousands of leaders to take action via the #MakeItHappen microgrant program and the “Turn the Tables,” campaign.► Regularly identified donor passion and inspired large-scale activism and engagement. Kindled long-term relationships internally and externally with hard-to-reach multigenerational audiences.
