Nearly 15 years combined experience between retail pharmacy and public education. Familiar with Healthcare terminology and systems including prescription processing, insurance billing, and patient adherence. Over 8 years experience teaching English at all levels grades 7-12, including Intermediate English Language Learners, Yearbook Advisor, and Student Government Advisor. In both roles I have effectively developed the communication skills needed to convey complicated information to those in need of understanding, be they children in a school setting or adults in a pharmacy setting. These same skills enable me to evaluate potentially tense situations, communicate with involved parties, and reset the expectations of all involved in order to find a satisfactory outcome. As a public school teacher and as a pharmacy technician I had to familiarize myself with new software on several occasions, implementing it and explaining its use to others. These experiences give me confidence in not only my own ability to understand & implement new training and methods, but also my ability to pass new knowledge on to those around me. Not only am I easy to train, but I am adept at training others.
