As a bioengineering leader with a strong interest in process development, I’m passionate about developing cell and gene therapies that help people. As I’ve advanced in my career, I’ve found that developing not only processes, but people, is where my passions lie.While working as a Process Development Engineer at Precision Biosciences, I evaluated, optimized, and integrated the automation of a key step in our allogeneic CAR T cell manufacturing process. I also served as the Process Development lead in the successful technology transfer of a clinical stage CAR T manufacturing process to our in-house manufacturing group. This required not only in-depth technical knowledge and troubleshooting skills, but also effective communication and collaboration with multiple departments. In addition to my technical expertise, I also offer strengths in leadership, having supervised and mentored first undergraduate and high school students, then other engineers as a supervisor. Most recently, I was chosen to serve as a leader during our team’s transition from Precision Biosciences to Imugene as part of an asset acquisition. With the support of my team, I navigated the transition to position us as a highly productive department within the new organization.My commitment to helping and developing others extends beyond the lab as well. I’m a cofounder of Pawsibilities Vet Med, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit committed to improving diversity, equity, and inclusion in the veterinary profession through mentorship and professional development.
