I served on Sun Tribe's development team – working with local governments, school districts, and other stakeholders to help them realize the financial, educational, and technological benefits of renewable energy.

High Tor Gear Exchange is a combination of our love of the outdoors and our desire to transform the way we buy stuff, in this case, how we buy the clothes and products we need to spend more time outside. The inspiration for the shop came about in part as we sought a way to have a positive impact in Charlottesville, as well as to create a movement towards more conscious consumption. Our goal is to give the Charlottesville community access to high quality used outdoor gear and clothing, and to create an avenue for participation in the circular economy.

Rootfire is the centerpiece of the North American roots & reggae music scene. Since its inception in 2010, the company – which regularly hosts music premieres, organizes major shows and festivals, and features guest writing and photography – has grown into the undisputed voice of the progressive reggae community. In 2016, Rootfire launched its own record label, the not-for-profit Rootfire Cooperative, which offers artists interest-free micro-loans in order to fund the recording, release, and marketing of albums.

Ineffable Music is an independent coalition of artists, managers and promoters that work together to curate music and live events across the world. With a diverse roster of bands, festivals and venues, Ineffable focuses on experiences and providing an outlet for artists to be heard. Founded in 2006, Ineffable Music is based in Oakland, California and advocates for artists to maintain ownership and control of their music, including through interest free loans given out by Ineffable's charity arm, Rootfire Cooperative. Ineffable works across the spectrum of the music business, producing over two thousand concerts and festivals per year across the US, managing artists that have collectively sold millions of albums, releasing music in innovative ways and striving to disrupt the status quo in the music industry.

I co-produced statistical reports with the Vermont State Census Office and served as a member of three rural development community resource teams.
