Operations Support Manager
CurrentLeading a culture of customer obsession and continuous improvement, investigating, and introducing new processes and systems to enhance and streamline productivity for employees. Working with field operations departments to implement procedure and process changes and ensure adoption and understanding.• Managing multiple teams responsible for spare parts, logistics, fleet management, purchasing, warehousing, field support, and fabrication. o Provides coaching, supervision, counseling, and corrective action for team members.• Provide problem solving assistance for external and internal customers and interdepartmental issues. Handles resolution of parts customer service issues.• Maintain relationships with vendor partners, pursues new vendor relationships, ensures company is receiving best pricing on parts, regularly assess current purchasing agreements and works to re- negotiate or re-source.• Establishes individual parts inventory levels and balances them for optimal turnover o Direct, optimize and coordinate full order cycle o Keep track of quality, quantity, stock levels, delivery times, transport costs and efficiency• Catalog goods, plan routes and process shipments• Meet cost, productivity, accuracy, and timeliness targets• Maintain metrics and analyze data to assess performance and implement improvements• Comply with laws, regulations, and elevator code requirements• Enforces safety requirements, processing of MSDS sheets on all products carried, and OSHA.• Understands, keeps abreast of, and complies with federal, state, and local regulations that may affect parts sales and logistics.• Work with Operations Managers and technicians to ensure timely turnaround of parts to be utilized for work orders.• Conduct periodic inventory audits• Oversee processing of material warranty claims• Supervise order procedures
