About Seth Shoemaker, Cts-I

Seth, previously an owner and the "All Things Technical" guy (CTO) at Spire AVL, a successful integration company that has since been purchased. As an owner, he introduced operational improvements and oversaw key strategic decisions. Seth has been involved in design and integration for over 20 years with experience in leadership, team management, and process optimization, and numerous skills in advanced networking, programming, audio, video, lighting, rigging, and design. He has a passion for excellence while working with a team and within a budget – a skill he learned while working as technical director for a large local church. He loves that no two projects are ever the same and enjoys the challenge of designing a unique system developed to meet each client’s specific needs. Seth enjoys looking at systems, and working to find efficiency boosts within those systems. He is a fan of "clockworking" positions as he believes that teams work together better when there is cross-training in the systems. It allows employees to truly disconnect on their time off (whether sick or leisure), and return to work without having a pile of "catch-up". Seth holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Information Systems from Messiah College and finds enjoyment in constantly researching and learning new technology. Seth also holds many industry certifications including InfoComm CTS/CTS-I, Crestron Programming, along with many others. Before joining the team at Spire, Seth worked as a technician in the entertainment industry. He has experience as a live sound engineer and lighting designer. In his spare time, Seth enjoys volunteering at church, hiking, homesteading, as well as spending time with his family and his dog.
