I have worked in sales for 15+ years, and I love it as much today as the day I started. I guess one of the big reasons I love the business of sales is that I am so good at it. Or, is it the other way around? I am good at sales because I love it. Starting as a commission-only salesperson and rising to a VP of Sales and Development was challenging and exciting. With 45 used car dealerships in the highly competitive retail automotive industry, I managed over 150 staff to award winning sales. But, sales management at this level requires a thorough understanding of the wholesale automotive markets, loan underwriting, credit and finance decision making, and the drive to succeed.
