▸ Built new customer-facing products at DigitalOcean as a technical lead, working with TypeScript, React, Next.js, Node.js, GraphQL, and gRPC.▸ Led development of the Marketplace Add-Ons frontend, as well as a new admin portal UI for our Marketplace partners to manage the software they offer on DigitalOcean. Led planning of the UI with design documents to coordinate with engineering, product, and design.▸ Led development of the Managed Kafka frontend. Responsible for scoping and developing the UI, and introduced new E2E testing patterns at the company with Cypress.▸ Led development of the DDoS Protection frontend. Responsible for scoping and developing the UI, and jumping into the gRPC services in Go to assist with adding new endpoints.▸ Wrote a Node.js script to allow unit test coverage to be collected via Prometheus for all of our frontend projects. Created a Grafana dashboard which was used by engineering leadership to track our progress to keep the team accountable to hitting at least 80% coverage in all apps.▸ Provided training to staff on frontend/fullstack development. Helped interview and onboard multiple engineers and was responsible for creating interview and onboarding documents.

▸ As part of a new team within Amazon Connect, I was responsible for driving frontend development in the AWS Console, coordinating security reviews with AWS AppSec & IAM teams, and creating pen-testing plans for our new features.▸ Led the migration of Amazon Connect's AWS Console from a legacy Angular codebase to React and a new AWS design system.▸ Led planning and development for configuring third-party integrations for the new Amazon Connect Tasks UI. Additionally onboarded another new AWS team to the codebase, who were responsible for delivering Amazon Connect Customer Profiles.▸ Coordinated with the Amazon Connect development teams to launch the new Amazon Connect Tasks UI, allowing us to announce it at AWS re:Invent 2020. Our project was an S-Team goal at Amazon, which were the highest priority goals set by the senior leadership team.

▸ Brought creative projects to life on the System Integrity team addressing backer trust on the platform. Utilized Ruby on Rails, TypeScript, React, MySQL, and GraphQL.▸ Pair-programmed regularly to mentor engineers using TDD to walk through software design.▸ Worked with product managers to uncover data insights by creating new looks in Looker, and wrote raw SQL queries to learn more about user behavior.▸ Introduced Storybook UI to the organization through an RFC, and led the efforts to use it as the foundation for the Kickstarter Design System.▸ Introduced dynamic ES6 imports, React.lazy and the IntersectionObserver API to improve bundle sizes, and load/render React components only if they were visible in the browser viewport.

▸ Built the frontend of Frame.io on the web engineering team. Focused on improving the frontend build pipeline, web animations, user growth, and user onboarding. Frame.io was acquired by Adobe in 2021.▸ Led the development of a new sign up flow to onboard new users, and collect more information for personalization in the app. The redesign featured new forms with stricter validations, animations in both CSS and Lottie, and utilized our new component library.▸ Introduced a new way of developing animations transitions for the web UI by creating a new React component library: https://github.com/setsun/react-transition-components▸ Optimized bundle size of the web application with code splitting via dynamic ES6 imports, introducing tree-shaking via Webpack, and configuring caching/multi-core builds.

▸ Built the frontend under Walmart's technology organization for Jet.com in React, Redux, and Node.js on the "Batman" team.▸ Implemented Jet's first refer-a-friend program, which involved the development of user dashboards, and email & social integrations.▸ Led frontend development of a rethinking of Jet's pricing display. Changes included new designs, new animations, changes to the color palette, and supporting new price calculations via the API.▸ Created a VR furniture showroom for the biannual Jet Innovation Time hackathon. The app allowed users to view variations of 3D models of a number of furniture items. It was built in A-Frame VR and was awarded the prize of "Most Likely to Attract Engineering Talent".

▸ As part of the HubSpot product team, I built out features for the frontend of our Prospecting, Meetings, and Messages tools.▸ Worked across teams to completely redesign the HubSpot Meetings tool, while simultaneously contributing to a new reusable React component library as part of a company effort to unify all of our apps under the HubSpot Canvas design system.▸ Led development of embedding a HubSpot Meetings page on customer websites via an iframe to allow visitors to book calendar meetings seamlessly without going to a separate page.▸ Helped build the front-end for HubSpot Messages from the ground-up in React & Redux. Given a 2 month timeline, our team was able to reveal HubSpot Messages at Inbound 2016 for the HubSpot Product Spotlight.
