I'm an experienced software engineer with 10 years of experience working across many different types and sizes of organisation.I've been exposed to a wide range of technical challenges and have built a strong knowledge of building robust, capable services.I have worked on machine learning prediction pipelines that make millions of predictions per day based on real time streaming input. I've also worked on high performance web applications and APIs delivering model data directly in to the hands of customers.I believe programming languages are an implementation detail and thus any can be used, but my core languages are Python and TypeScript.I am also an experienced presenter, having delivered a number of presentations at various tech meetups over the last 7 years.You can find some articles about software engineering and tutorials at https://seanbarry.dev

I built Hooked alongside a friend during our summer holiday between university years. We launched on ProductHunt (https://www.producthunt.com/posts/hooked) and immediately gained paying customers. We released a version two a few months after our initial launch and continued to grow our subscriber base until we closed the company in March 2016. We never intended for Hooked to grow beyond a summer project and although we had paying customers, the market wasn't big enough for it to be a viable product in the long run.
