BIM for Manufacturers & Manufacturing. We are the BIM4 Community group focussed on supporting the construction product sector. The group consists of people and organisations concerned with BIM for manufacturers (the organisations) and manufacturing (the process). Developed to support the group of the UK's BIM Task Group, BIM4M2 was formed in April 2014, and members include a healthy mix of manufacturers (SMEs and multi-nationals), consultants and content providers.Our activities are mainly focussed on three key areas: Education (supporting manufacturers through their BIM journey), Data Templates (developing a clear and consistent approach to providing relevant data) and Promotions (making sure that the manufacturers' voice is heard).

My role is focussed on translating change within the construction market into opportunity for the company. I developed the company’s strategy for construction information, including BIM, for both the UK and internationally, and set up the programme managing its implementation across a broad range of products and technologies, including structural, building envelope and building service products.I also develop market knowledge platforms, including those for UK and European housing, and BIM. Using these and technology platforms I lead the development of sector or technology specific technical and commercial offers including new building systems, supply chain and process optimization and new procurement routes.

Played a lead role in setting up and managing a successful RIBA practice, including assisting in day-to-day management alongside lead project and key account roles. Responsible for the design co-ordination of the first modular building to achieve EcoHomes Excellent, and the offsite construction aspects of the pilot building for the Allenby / Connaught project, along with leading transport and education projects. Won a Business Excellence Award as both an individual and as a team.
