Worked as a contingent worker for a nation-wide utilities company. I primarily liaised with developers; testing, reporting on and suggesting new features for our application as well as providing test support for legacy and hotfix builds, however I also communicated, assisted with and managed test scenarios for my colleagues off-shore in India. Much of my work utilised SAP and I effectively utilised quiet times by automating tests, data creation and information gathering. My time at QAC was short-lived but well-remembered. I was originally interviewed and subsequently offered a job I would be provided training for, however due to unforeseen circumstances I was unable to start when needed. I was instead offered, at a more convenient starting date, a more general, well-rounded 12 week training course with promises of a job at the end. By the end of week 8 a job had already been lined up and I was given the last few weeks of more specific training suited for the role. The staff were all incredibly friendly, helpful and knowledgeable -- both technologically and professionally.
