Manufacturing Engineering Manager
Current➢ Provide Engineering Leadership and Direction for the sustaining engineering team, both for new and existing products.➢ Direct the Engineering Team in efforts to enhance quality, reduce costs, implement Design for Manufacturing (DFM), and improve reliability in manufacturing.➢ Lead or Assist Performance, Quality and Availability (OEE) Improvement Initiatives using FBS lean tools.➢ Mentor the team, enabling them to work to their full potential. Maintain departmental quality and performance metrics.➢ Establish Departmental Goals and develop resource plans to support key objective, initiatives, and production goals.➢ Monitor the Annual Capital Budget, enhance overall capabilities, implement continuous improvement and Lean Six Sigma initiatives.➢ Oversee the new manufacturing equipment hardware, software, processes, standard operating procedures, and work instructions. ➢ Promote a Collaborative environment, ensuring a solid grasp of validation strategy (IQ/OQ/PQ), protocols, execution, and reporting.➢ Take Ownership of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) in Operations, including 5S/Safety, Quality, Delivery, Inventory, Productivity (QDIP).➢ Utilize Fortive Business System (FBS) tools to streamline manufacturing processes and improve customer experiences.➢ Drive Performance Management Throughout the Year by setting appropriate goals, providing feedback, and addressing performance issues effectively.➢ Lead Productivity Improvement Efforts to reduce manufacturing costs and improve first-pass yield (FPY) by leveraging industry best practices and Lean principles.➢ Collaborate with Design Engineering, Quality and Operations to ensure the application of appropriate tools (i.e. PFMEA) for manufacturability and productivity targets.➢ Coordinate the Assessment and Implementation of Mistake-Proofing (poka-yoke) methodology.➢ Manage Manufacturing Work Instruction Development, Maintenance and Control, including migration to Electronic Work Instructions.
