During their one-week visit to Dubai, I ensured that the group, composed of 17 students and 9 chaperons, had the best possible experience and learned more about DP World’s operations.• Involved with DP World’s volunteering week programme. This annual initiative, that was running its eighth iteration, gives employees the opportunity to take time out of work to support their local communities. I participated by making toys for underprivileged children. To put smiles on the faces of children in refugee camps, we spent a morning putting together stuffed penguins that were sent to them. Although seemingly trivial, that activity was invaluable since I got to tangibly contribute to our DP World community.

It also recognizes that the LDCs represent an enormous potential for world economic growth, stability and prosperity.• The high-level midterm review resulted in an inter-governmentally negotiated and agreed outcome in the form of a political declaration. The review will undertake an assessment of the implementation of the Istanbul Programme of Action by the LDCs and their development partners. It shared best practices and lessons learned and identified obstacles, constraints and actions and initiatives needed to overcome them, as well as new challenges and emerging issues.
