What is a million dollar designer?An executive once told me they wanted to bring in this world-class designer they knew, just to get some fresh eyes on our project. They would happily pay $10,000 a day for this designer’s feedback.If you convert that rate to a yearly salary, it’s over $2.5 million.I want to be that designer. I want to bring that value. It’s not about the money. I’m intensely fascinated by how people turn themselves into vessels of value.--- My design story -I’m a lifelong creator: I painted and sculpted as a child. I dabbled in web design and game mods in my teens. I went to school for architecture, and then transitioned into graphic design, data visualization, and eventually, product design. In my 10+ years working as a product designer, I have: - Simplified complex transactional interfaces for leading financial service companies.- Taken projects from 0→1 delivering high-quality design across automotive, e-commerce, insurance, and hospitality industries.- Scaled software delivery at multiple companies using design systems.
