My research was part of a project within a strategic collaboration between Eli Lilly and Purdue University. This project involved creating platform solutions for both sensing and delivery of therapeutics. These platforms include identifying biomarkers, developing continuous drug release devices, constructing wearable sensors, developing secure.

• Purified new mutant protein constructs of Calmodulin using affinity purification methods to further study structure and function related to protein’s downstream partners
• Optimized multiple PCR protocols for plasmid cloning to further transform the plasmids into competent cells for production of our protein of interest
• Maintained and transfected HEK cells with channelrodopsin-2 to serve as a proof of concept in optogenetic experiments particularly in relation to the function of the CaMKII protein in the deep parts of the brain
