An award-winning Energy Project Manager and Mechanical Engineer with over a decade of experience in energy conservation and demand management. My career began as a Graduate Trainee Engineer with a leading manufacturer of steam and thermal energy systems, where I conducted energy audits across various process industries throughout Asia, gaining deep insights into diverse industrial processes. Quickly advancing to Product Manager, I collaborated with R&D engineers to design innovative steam trapping and condensate management systems, which became pivotal to Forbes Marshall's Steam System Division product line. In 2018, I earned my Energy Management Certification (CEM®), followed by a certification in Energy Auditing (CEA®) in 2020, further fueling my passion for exploring energy management opportunities in electrical, water, and thermal utilities. Currently, I lead energy projects at Unity Health Toronto, working closely with contractors, procurement specialists, and consultants to write project specifications, conduct bid reviews, and manage contract negotiations. I also oversee onsite construction management and coordinate with various departments to ensure the successful implementation of energy initiatives without impacting hospital operations. My focus includes infrastructure renewal through the retrofitting of mechanical systems, optimizing HVAC systems to ensure energy savings while maintaining human comfort, and implementing waste heat recovery projects to reduce utility consumption and minimize carbon footprints across the health network.
