After completing my volunteering in Fiji, I was asked to become an ambassador for Think Pacific. I was incredibly honoured to be asked to take this position. My role as an ambassador entails presenting information about Think Pacific, such as the types of projects available to prospective volunteers and inform them about my personal experience as a volunteer. I appear at university fairs and events when delivering this information.

KFC allowed me to achieve a new experience that I was not familiar with before. I was entrusted with cooking the product in back of house while following the health and safety guidelines. Working in a fast paced environment challenged my efficiency and speed when confronting our peak times of day. This was especially crucial while working with other team members/leaders. My other experiences included preparing the restaurant in time for opening and cleaning after closing time. I also ensured that there was enough available product that would last the restaurant for the day.

This role allowed me to achieve much in my professional career. I was able to understand what working hours would entail. I helped greatly with customers, handling any enquiries they had, such as asking about any product not on the shop floor or assisting with returns in accordance with the store's return policy. I was entrusted with organising stockrooms alongside checking for any available stock and placing it out on the shop floor for display. Furthermore, I was able to smoothly handle deliveries that arrived to the store and safely place them away. Handling cash and card payments was another responsibility. Customers walked out satisfied with the customer service they received.
