Equality, diversity and inclusion has always been a cornerstone of my identity which I demonstrated as a member of my school’s chaplaincy group, AGAPE, where I tutored asylum seekers in English. While this had a positive influence on my academics and gave me key responsibilities, I also found that I faced the heart-wrenching stories of asylum seekers. The impact that wars have had on them and the living conditions propelled my interest in real estate and catalysed my desire to not only pursue a career in Real Estate but also aid people with every gift I have - a customer service quality I have had the opportunity to develop in my diverse portfolio of industries; retail and hospitality from Manchester City Stadium to Zara and Kurt Geiger. I thrive in collaborative environments that require cohesive team work and collective efforts, and I am eager to apply these skills and values to any situation or task that arises. These qualities have been enhance by my membership to the University of Manchester.EDI in universities is crucial for the economy, international relations and public relations yet its main focus is to help international students realise their potential above all else. This inspires me to pursue my dream despite any disadvantages I may face in society and override the stigma of black women in corporate industries and promote EDI serviceable organisations such as Kaplan Living and the 10K Interns Foundation.
